Bolivar's new hospital moves from drawings to power and data mockups
Hospital staff reviewed a headwall mockup in February. The owner reported construction progress in April and a 2026 completion target.
West Tennessee Healthcare reported progress on its replacement Bolivar hospital on April 20, with completion targeted for later in 2026. The new site is on Vildo Road off Highway 64 in Hardeman County.

A mockup before repeating the work
The hospital's log records that review and identifies Flintco's construction project manager in a later installation discussion. It gives contractors a named construction firm and evidence that clinical staff are involved in installation decisions.
For a crew, the practical issue is what the mockup settled. Outlet placement, device access and cable routes need an approved layout before installers repeat it across rooms. Ask for the signed review, the current drawing revision and any changes made after staff tested the arrangement. A photograph of a meeting does not establish that the design was accepted.
Isolation rooms add controls questions
The original project announcement includes inpatient beds, outpatient services, an emergency room and negative-pressure isolation rooms. Construction began with a July 2025 groundbreaking.
The isolation-room scope makes the controls sequence and acceptance plan worth reading early. Identify who wires the pressure monitoring, who programs the controls and who witnesses the final tests. Do not price an assumed sequence from the room label alone.
Replacing a hospital also calls for a service-transfer plan. A contractor should know when the new building must support staff training and equipment setup, not just the date on a public opening announcement.
What the schedule proves
The April update supports active construction and the owner's completion target. It does not confirm an October opening, list remaining trade packages or report an electrician shortage.
