Qualifications for Cable Technician
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cable Technician
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling installations and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in cable testing, termination, and certification procedures
- Ability to interpret blueprints and work in active commercial construction sites
Responsibilities for Cable Technician
- Install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems, including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optic cables, in commercial environments
- Perform cable terminations on patch panels, jacks, and network devices
- Conduct cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools to ensure performance and compliance
- Install cable pathways such as conduits, raceways, and J-hooks, following safety codes and blueprints
- Work closely with project managers and clients to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
