Lucent Energy Management designs and installs customized residential and commercial energy systems throughout the Union, New Jersey area.

Our work is split between residential and commercial projects and includes solar, battery storage, service upgrades, electrical distribution, and AC and DC systems. We complete our own installations and do not subcontract the work.

Lucent Energy Management is an approved Tesla Solar Roof installer for the region. We are looking for an experienced electrician who understands that quality electrical work requires planning, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have direct experience installing and servicing Tesla solar and energy storage equipment.

Position Summary

The Tesla Certified Solar Electrician will perform electrical installations for residential and commercial solar and energy storage projects.

The right candidate will have strong experience with Tesla Powerwalls, Tesla Gateways, Tesla solar inverters, photovoltaic systems, main service upgrades, and single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.

You must be able to review the scope of work, identify potential installation issues, complete clean and code-compliant electrical work, and communicate clearly with the project team.

Responsibilities

Install Tesla Powerwalls, Tesla Gateways, Tesla solar inverters, photovoltaic equipment, and related electrical components

Complete residential and commercial solar and energy storage installations

Install, repair, replace, troubleshoot, and test electrical circuits and equipment

Perform work on both AC and DC electrical systems

Install and service single-phase and three-phase electrical systems

Replace and upgrade main service panels and main distribution panels

Install transformers and related equipment for three-phase services

Complete conduit, wiring, grounding, bonding, terminations, and equipment connections

Use meters and testing equipment to verify safe and proper system operation

Read electrical plans, equipment specifications, and project documentation

Identify field conditions that could affect the approved scope of work

Coordinate with installers, project managers, inspectors, and other members of the field team

Maintain tools, vehicles, equipment, and jobsite materials

Follow electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, and company safety procedures

Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites

Document completed work and report any installation or safety concerns

Required Experience

At least 5 years of professional electrical experience

Previous hands-on experience installing Tesla Powerwalls

Previous hands-on experience installing Tesla Gateways

Previous hands-on experience installing Tesla solar inverters

Experience with residential and commercial photovoltaic systems

Experience with both AC and DC electrical systems

Experience with single-phase and three-phase circuits

Experience replacing main service panels and main distribution panels

Experience using electrical meters and testing equipment

Valid driver’s license

Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in changing weather conditions

Ability to work safely around ladders, roofs, electrical equipment, and active jobsites

Preferred Experience

Tesla Solar Roof installation experience

Tesla certification or current Tesla installation credentials

Roofing or roof-mounted solar experience

Experience installing transformers for three-phase services

Experience leading or coordinating electrical installation crews

Experience working directly with inspectors and utility representatives
