Residential Electrician Position Overview

As a Residential Electrician with Prime Partners, you will be involved in a diverse range of projects that challenge and develop your skills. Core Residential Electrician Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and retrofitting electrical systems in residential buildings. You will be skilled in pulling wire, installing outlets, switches, and fixtures, performing panel upgrades, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the job site. Our projects often involve working in senior housing units that are occupied, requiring discretion and professionalism. You must comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and state regulations at all times. Additionally, you will work on prevailing wage projects funded by state and federal programs, which require meticulous adherence to guidelines.

Advanced technical duties will include installing smart home technology, integrating renewable energy solutions like solar panels, and designing custom lighting solutions. Projects in the region often require working in historical homes, where retrofitting legacy systems with modern solutions is common. Safety protocols are non-negotiable; you will conduct regular site safety checks, and ensure all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License and have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in residential installations and remodels. Familiarity with retrofitting legacy systems and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively are essential. You should be capable of working independently or within a team and possess reliable transportation. Experience in HUD or Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) project settings is preferred. Other essential certifications include OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid.

Tools & Equipment

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $29.88-$35.70 per hour, depending on experience. Our compensation package includes career advancement opportunities, ongoing training, and certifications.
