Residential Service Electrician Position Overview

We’re currently looking for a seasoned Residential Service Electrician to join our team at Mr. Sparky in Pearland, TX. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with customers in their homes, diagnosing and repairing a range of electrical issues. This role will involve service calls, electrical installations, on-site diagnostics, and a high level of customer communication.

Must Haves for Residential Service Electrician

• Minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Residential Service Electrician.
• Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
• A minimum of 5 years of residential electrical experience.
• Excellent diagnostic skills.
• Comfort working directly with customers in occupied homes.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Experience with code corrections and real estate inspection punch lists.
• Familiar with residential permitting processes in Texas municipalities.

Key Residential Service Electrician Duties

Our Residential Service Electricians are expected to handle service calls for residential customers, diagnose electrical issues on-site, and repair or replace essential electrical components. Key responsibilities include repairing or replacing breakers, switches, outlets, and fixtures; troubleshooting power loss or code violations; and communicating findings clearly with homeowners. You’ll also generate work estimates, perform safety inspections, and install EV chargers and other emerging residential technologies.
