Residential Apprentice Electrician Position Overview
At Jonsson Electrical, we're urgently seeking a Residential Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role involves supporting experienced journeymen on new-construction projects, predominantly in single and multi-tenant homes. Must Haves for Residential Apprentice Electrician
- 0-2 years experience as a Residential Apprentice Electrician
- High school diploma/equivalent or current secondary student (16+)
- Ability to learn and take direction from a Journeyman
- Must obtain/maintain Utah Apprentice Electrician license (JES can assist)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic electrical hand tools per experience year
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and teamwork
Key Residential Apprentice Electrician Duties
As a Residential Apprentice Electrician, your duties will include:
- Supporting journeymen on new-construction single and multi-tenant homes
- Staging materials, using hand/power tools safely, and learning to install boxes, devices, and fixtures
- Assisting with pulling wire, labeling, and basic terminations under supervision
- Helping with conduit measuring/bending and MC layout
- Maintaining clean work areas and following safety rules
- Reliably reporting to assigned sites and lifting up to 50 lbs
