As a Residential Electrician with First Contracting, you’ll find no two days are the same. Your week will involve installing, maintaining, and retrofitting electrical systems in various residential settings. From pulling wire and installing outlets to performing panel upgrades, every task contributes to the safety and functionality of homes. What You’ll Need to Succeed

You’ll need a State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License and at least 4 years of experience in residential installations and remodels. Familiarity with retrofitting legacy systems will set you apart. We value practical skills over paper qualifications, so your hands-on experience is crucial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Reliable transportation is a must, and experience in HUD or MSHDA project settings is a plus. A good sense of humor and a positive attitude go a long way in our team-oriented environment.
