What You’ll Do as an Industrial Electrician

As an Industrial Electrician at EV Careers, you will be a key player in our ongoing projects in Rome, GA. Your role is vital in the smooth operation and maintenance of our industrial and manufacturing environments. You will be our go-to person for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our electrical systems, ensuring our production lines keep running smoothly and efficiently.

Your Daily Tasks as an Industrial Electrician

Your daily routine will involve the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in our manufacturing facilities. This includes servicing motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment. You will be the first to be called upon to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery.

You will follow strict lockout/tagout procedures, perform preventative maintenance, and interpret technical diagrams and schematics. Ensuring safety compliance and documenting repairs and updates will also be part of your responsibilities.

On top of these, you will work closely with our maintenance and engineering teams to ensure that our electrical systems are up to date and functioning optimally.

What You Need to Be an Industrial Electrician

To succeed as an Industrial Electrician with us, you need to have an electrical journeyman license or equivalent. Experience with industrial machinery and systems is essential, along with a strong understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and 3-phase power.

Proficiency in diagnostics and repair, the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams, and OSHA safety knowledge are also crucial. We value team-oriented individuals with excellent communication skills. Ideally, you should have 4-6 years of experience in the field as an Industrial Electrician.
