Core EV Power Systems Electrician Skills
Must be a licensed journeyman electrician and possess a detailed understanding of EVSE infrastructure and grid interconnection. Experience with transformers and switchgear is critical, along with strong wiring and installation skills. The ideal candidate will be able to read one-line diagrams and permits, and have undergone OSHA safety training.
Main EV Power Systems Electrician Duties
The selected candidate will install and configure power distribution systems for EV charging stations. This includes running conduit and wire to support load balancing and grid tie-ins. They will monitor electrical loads, ensure code compliance, and install switchgear, transformers, and meters. Additional duties include coordination with utility providers and supporting remote diagnostics and system upgrades.
