Core Industrial Electrician Skills

Candidates should possess an electrical journeyman license or equivalent and have experience with industrial machinery and systems. A strong understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and 3-phase power is necessary. Proficiency in diagnostics and repair, the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams, and OSHA safety knowledge are also required. A team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Main Industrial Electrician Duties

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining electrical systems in manufacturing or industrial environments. Service motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment; troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery; follow lockout/tagout procedures; perform preventative maintenance; interpret technical diagrams and schematics; ensure safety compliance; document repairs and updates; work with maintenance and engineering teams.
