Key Industrial Electrician Skills

The successful candidate should possess an electrical journeyman license or equivalent. They should have a strong understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and 3-phase power, and be proficient in diagnostics and repair. The ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams, OSHA safety knowledge, and a team-oriented attitude with good communication skills are all essential.

Primary Industrial Electrician Responsibilities

The main duties include installing and maintaining electrical systems in manufacturing or industrial environments. You will service motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment, troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery, follow lockout/tagout procedures, perform preventative maintenance, interpret technical diagrams and schematics, ensure safety compliance, document repairs and updates, and work with maintenance and engineering teams.
