What You’ll Do as a High Voltage EV Electrician

As a High Voltage EV Electrician here at EV Careers in Jonesboro, AR, you will be at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution. You will work on exciting and groundbreaking projects, installing, servicing, and maintaining high-voltage systems for electric vehicles. In addition, you will ensure the safety of these high-voltage operations and interpret technical schematics and equipment diagrams.

Your Daily Tasks as a High Voltage EV Electrician

Your daily tasks will involve troubleshooting and repairing EV electrical systems and testing insulation resistance and power delivery. You will coordinate with our engineering teams for layout and specifications, document system performance and service logs, and ensure compliance with NEC and OSHA standards. You will also actively participate in the installation and maintenance of charging stations and assist in resolving any high-voltage issues of the electric vehicles.

What You Need to Be a High Voltage EV Electrician

To be successful in this role, you will need a valid electrician license with high-voltage certification, deep knowledge of EV systems, and a strong understanding of high-voltage safety standards. You should have experience with EVSE equipment and protocols, and be skilled in using electrical diagnostic tools and PPE for HV environments. Familiarity with energy storage systems and power electronics is a must. You need to have strong technical and communication skills, with at least 4-6 years of experience in the field.
