High Voltage Battery Electrician Position Overview

EV Careers is looking for an experienced High Voltage Battery Electrician to join our team in Anderson, SC. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of high-capacity storage systems, lithium-ion batteries, and their associated safety requirements. You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage battery systems for our electric vehicles and energy storage applications.

Must Haves for High Voltage Battery Electrician

• 4 to 6 years of experience as a High Voltage Battery Electrician.
• Valid electrical license complemented by a battery safety certification.
• Proven experience with lithium-ion and high-capacity storage systems.
• In-depth knowledge of charge-discharge cycles, BMS systems, and thermal management.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols for high-voltage DC environments, including PPE requirements.

Key High Voltage Battery Electrician Duties

• Install and maintain high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles or energy storage applications.
• Diagnose performance issues and conduct thermal/voltage testing.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards.
• Integrate batteries with inverters and charge controllers.
• Maintain accurate logs and test data.
• Assist with field retrofits and emergency repairs.
