The Electrician Apprentice Position

As an Electrician Apprentice with EV Careers, you will be an integral part of our team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include participating in the full cycle of EV infrastructure installations, assembling and disassembling EV panels and disconnects under supervision, and installing wire trays and mounting systems. You’ll be stationed on diverse job sites, contributing to our team-oriented structure under the guidance of experienced electricians. Core Electrician Apprentice Responsibilities

As an Electrician Apprentice, you will be expected to measure and cut conduit accurately, track inventory, log hours, and complete safety checklists and hazard assessments before each shift. Furthermore, you will be required to study and apply national and local electrical codes daily. Additionally, your advanced technical duties will include troubleshooting electrical issues, maintaining electrical equipment, and assisting in the planning and implementation of complex electrical systems. Our projects are region-specific, and you will be briefed on the specifics upon assignment. Safety is our topmost priority, and adhering to our stringent safety protocols is non-negotiable.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate should be currently registered with a state-recognized apprenticeship program, with 2+ years of experience on construction or EV job sites. Proficiency with basic hand tools and power drills is a must, along with an eagerness to learn high-voltage applications. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus. A positive attitude and a coachable mindset are essential for this role.

Tools & Equipment

Our Electrician Apprentices use a variety of tools daily, including wire strippers, multimeters, and conduit benders, among others. You will be required to bring your own basic hand tools, while specialized and heavy equipment will be provided by the company.

Physical Requirements

The Electrician Apprentice position requires occasional heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds. The working conditions may vary, with exposure to different weather conditions and job sites. Safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots, is mandatory.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $22.07-$27.96 per hour, depending on your experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
