Electric Vehicle Apprentice Position Overview
EV Careers in Cookeville, TN is urgently in need of an Electric Vehicle (EV) Apprentice. We’re in search of an individual who is passionate about electric vehicles and sustainable technology. As an EV Apprentice, your role will primarily involve assisting licensed electricians in the installation and maintenance of Level 2 and Level 3 EV charging stations. You’ll also be expected to conduct routine checks and tests, monitor energy usage, and prepare necessary paperwork.
Must Haves for Electric Vehicle Apprentice
We’re looking for an individual who possesses the following:
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
- An interest in EV technology and sustainability
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory
- Currently pursuing a journeyman licensure
- Strong organizational skills and note-taking habits
- Proficiency in using tablets and software tools on-site
- Excellent customer service skills
Key Electric Vehicle Apprentice Duties
As an EV Apprentice, you will be expected to:
- Assist licensed EV electricians in installing Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations
- Help with trenching and conduit placement
- Supervise the calibration of meters and sensors
- Use diagnostic tools to test charging station output
- Monitor energy usage and document any abnormalities
- Prepare permit packets and inspection forms
