Commercial Electrical Estimator at Chambon Electric Inc.

We’re CHAMBON ELECTRIC INC, a family-run electrical contracting company that’s been going strong since 1956. Our work spans commercial and industrial projects throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Licensed, bonded, and insured as master electricians, we bring experience and integrity to every job. We’re currently on the hunt for a Senior Estimator to join our team.

What You’ll Do:

• Review blueprints, specs, and project plans to put together accurate estimates.
• Team up with project managers to get the details right—scope, budget, and timelines.
• Figure out the materials, labor, and time needed to get each project done.
• Work with vendors and subs to gather competitive bids and make sure everything’s on track.
• Keep our estimating databases up to date and find ways to improve our process.
• Look for opportunities to save costs without cutting corners.
• Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to iron out the details.

What We’re Looking For:

• A couple of years (2–4) of solid construction estimating experience, especially in electrical work.
• A basic understanding of commercial electrical systems and what’s needed for these types of projects.
• Proficiency with tools like McCormick or similar project management/estimating software.
• Strong analytical skills—someone who can dive into the details and solve problems.
• Good communication and organizational skills to keep everyone on the same page.
• A team player who’s not afraid to step up and meet deadlines.
