Position overview
Support commercial electrical projects while building supervised field experience toward California electrician certification. Work is performed under the required supervision of a California-certified electrician.
Responsibilities
Assist with conduit, wire, boxes, lighting, panels, and device installation.
Read basic plans, stage materials, identify circuits, and test work as directed.
Keep tools and work areas organized and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Working conditions and schedule
Work is performed at active construction sites across the Los Angeles area. Project schedules may start early and may include occasional weekend or overtime work. Overtime is not guaranteed.
Required qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
No previous electrical employment is required, but hands-on training is helpful.
Ability to work onsite in the Los Angeles area.
Current California Electrician Trainee registration with the Department of Industrial Relations
Preferred qualifications
Commercial construction exposure, electrical trade-school training, and familiarity with hand and power tools are preferred.
Compensation
The expected pay range is $24 to $32 per hour. Final pay depends on experience and the contractor's review.
