Electrician (Towson, Full Time)

What to expect: 

• Installs, repairs, and tests Hospital electrical power distribution system, equipment and appliance and ensures compliance with applicable codes. 
• Performs preventive maintenance, documents electrical performance, and estimates electrical work.  Responsible for job site and equipment care.

 

What we need from you:

• Position requires Certificate for Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician preferred. 
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams to calculate power loads - acquired in high school or by a relatively brief period (more than six months but less than one year) of intensive preparation outside of school. 
• Knowledge of emergency generators and power systems preferred 
• Two to three years of progressively more responsible electrical experience in a commercial or institutional facility.  A general knowledge of mechanical equipment and the proper use of various power tools. 
• Valid Maryland Driver's License that has 2 or fewer points on it at time of hire. Must meet Sheppard Pratt requirements to operate a vehicle.

The pay range for this position is $26.00/hr minimum to $40.15/hr maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
