Position overview
Build, install, and troubleshoot control systems for commercial and light-industrial equipment in San Antonio. The role combines field wiring with practical diagnosis of control circuits and motor equipment.
Responsibilities
Install control panels, starters, relays, sensors, VFDs, and associated raceways and wiring.
Read ladder diagrams and control drawings to test inputs, outputs, and interlocks.
Trace faults, replace failed components, and document wiring or setting changes.
Working conditions and schedule
Work is performed onsite at project and service locations. Some assignments may involve operating facilities, equipment shutdowns, or restricted work windows.
Required qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least four years of electrical experience, including controls work, is required.
Ability to work onsite in the San Antonio area.
Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License
Relevant electrical experience may be considered in place of the education requirement.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with PLC-connected equipment, building systems, instrumentation, or control-panel checkout is preferred.
Compensation
The expected pay range is $32 to $41 per hour. Final pay depends on experience and the contractor's review.
