Data Center Low Voltage Technician at Prime Partners

Prime Partners is the staffing agency supporting data center low voltage technician openings in the Hilliard, OH area. This contract opportunity is for technicians who can contribute to structured cabling, security cabling, fiber support, and commercial low voltage installation work on active construction sites.

Pay rate: $22-$34 per hour

Location: Hilliard, OH area

Low Voltage Technician Responsibilities

Technicians will pull, route, dress, label, terminate, and test low voltage cabling. The scope can include Cat6 copper, fiber optic runs, cable tray, J-hooks, conduit pathway support, patch panel work, device rough-in, and cable certification using Fluke or similar testing equipment.

The best candidates understand both production and quality. Daily work may involve coordinating with other trades, checking drawings, keeping cable pathways clean, documenting installed cable, and helping project leads keep the data center cabling schedule on track.

Hilliard Data Center Project Environment

This is weekday day-shift contract work with rolling starts and weekly pay. Voluntary Saturdays and occasional weekend work may be available when project needs increase. Prime Partners supports steady commercial construction staffing, and reliable technicians may be considered for additional low voltage assignments.

The role is a strong match for someone with voice/data, telecom, structured cabling, access control, or fiber experience who wants to build deeper data center infrastructure experience.

Candidate Requirements and Preferred Skills

OSHA 10 is required. Candidates should have hands-on low voltage construction, structured cabling, cable technician, or telecom installation experience. Fiber termination, splicing exposure, Fluke testing, security rough-in, and the ability to work independently are preferred.
