Core Service Electrician Skills
The ideal candidate should have a Journeyman license or equivalent field experience. They should possess excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and have strong communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of NEC and local codes is necessary. The ability to work independently, maintain a clean driving record, and experience with residential and commercial service work are also required.
Main Service Electrician Duties
The Service Electrician will be required to respond to electrical service calls at residential or commercial sites, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, and install outlets, breakers, and lighting fixtures. They will also upgrade panels and systems, interact with clients to explain issues clearly, ensure job site cleanliness and professionalism, follow all safety and code regulations, complete service documentation, and manage tools and service vehicle inventory.
