Position Overview
EV Careers is actively seeking a dedicated Service Electrician to join our team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience as a Service Electrician and a journeyman license or equivalent field experience.
Required Skills for Service Electrician
Our Service Electricians are expected to possess exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, along with strong communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of NEC and local codes is essential. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently and maintain a clean driving record. Prior experience with residential and commercial service work is necessary.
Key Duties of Service Electrician
The Service Electrician is responsible for responding to electrical service calls at residential or commercial sites. They will troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, install outlets, breakers, and lighting fixtures, and upgrade panels and systems. Regular interaction with clients to explain issues clearly is a must. Ensuring job site cleanliness and professionalism, following all safety and code regulations, completing service documentation, and managing tools and service vehicle inventory are also part of the job.
