The High Voltage Battery Electrician Position
In this role, you will be a key player in our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage battery systems. Our High Voltage Battery Electricians work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale residential energy storage applications to large-scale EV charging infrastructures. You will work under the supervision of senior electricians and have the opportunity to grow within the company, expanding your skills and knowledge.
Core High Voltage Battery Electrician Responsibilities
Your main duties will include the installation and maintenance of high-voltage battery systems, diagnosing performance issues, conducting thermal and voltage testing, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You’ll also integrate batteries with inverters and charge controllers, maintain logs and test data, and assist with field retrofits and emergency repairs. Advanced technical duties include the calibration of battery management systems (BMS), implementation of thermal management solutions, and overseeing complex installations. You will also be responsible for ensuring all work complies with local safety regulations and standards.
Required Experience & Skills
To qualify for this role, you must hold an electrical license with a battery safety certification and have at least 4-6 years of experience as a High Voltage Battery Electrician. A thorough understanding of lithium-ion and high-capacity storage systems, knowledge of charge-discharge cycles, BMS systems, and thermal management is essential. Strong safety knowledge for high-voltage DC and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Tools & Equipment
You will be using a variety of specialized tools including multimeters, battery testers, thermal imaging cameras, and high-voltage insulation testers. While we provide most of the equipment, you are expected to own a basic set of electrician’s hand tools.
Physical Requirements
This role requires physical strength as lifting heavy batteries and equipment is a regular part of the job. You’ll often be working in a variety of conditions, indoors and outdoors, and in all weather. PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, and high-voltage protective clothing, will be necessary.

Compensation Package
We offer a competitive salary range of $33.27-$36.81 per hour depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
