Service Electrician Position Overview

EV Careers is urgently seeking a skilled Service Electrician for our Madison, MS location. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both residential and commercial electrical work, with an emphasis on service calls and troubleshooting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are functioning properly and safely, while providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Must Haves for Service Electrician

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Service Electrician.
• Journeyman license or equivalent field experience.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a clean driving record.
• Experience with residential and commercial service work.

Key Service Electrician Duties

As a Service Electrician, your primary duties will include responding to electrical service calls at residential and commercial sites, troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues, and installing outlets, breakers, and lighting fixtures. You’ll also be responsible for upgrading panels and systems, interacting with clients and explaining issues clearly, ensuring job site cleanliness and professionalism, following all safety and code regulations, completing service documentation, and managing tools and service vehicle inventory.
