Service Electrician Position Overview
At EV Careers, we are urgently looking for a skilled Service Electrician to join our construction team in Lake Charles, LA. As a Service Electrician, you’ll be responsible for responding to service calls at both residential and commercial sites, troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues, and maintaining professionalism and cleanliness at all job sites. We need a dedicated professional with an excellent understanding of electrical systems and a keen eye for safety.
Must Haves for Service Electrician
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Service Electrician
- Journeyman license or equivalent field experience
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of NEC and local codes
- Ability to work independently
- Clean driving record
- Experience with residential and commercial service work
Key Service Electrician Duties
As a Service Electrician, your main duties will include responding to electrical service calls at residential or commercial sites, troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues, and installing outlets, breakers, and lighting fixtures. You will also be responsible for upgrading panels and systems, interacting with clients and explaining issues clearly, ensuring job site cleanliness and professionalism, following all safety and code regulations, completing service documentation, and managing tools and service vehicle inventory.
