High Voltage Battery Electrician Position Overview
EV Careers is actively seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Battery Electrician to join our dynamic team in Lake Charles, LA. As a High Voltage Battery Electrician, your primary responsibility will be the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles and energy storage applications. You’ll ensure that all systems meet safety and performance standards, while also contributing to our team’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the EV industry.
Must Haves for High Voltage Battery Electrician
- A minimum of 4-6 years experience as a High Voltage Battery Electrician.
- A current electrical license, coupled with a battery safety certification.
- Extensive experience working with lithium-ion and high-capacity storage systems.
- Deep understanding of charge-discharge cycles, BMS systems, and thermal management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PPE and safety procedures for high-voltage DC.
Key High Voltage Battery Electrician Duties
As a High Voltage Battery Electrician, your key duties will include:
- Installing and maintaining high-voltage battery systems for EV or energy storage applications.
- Diagnosing performance issues and conducting thermal/voltage testing.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Integrating batteries with inverters and charge controllers.
- Maintaining logs and test data.
- Assisting with field retrofits and emergency repairs.
