What You’ll Do as a Master Electrician

As a Master Electrician at EV Careers in Rock Hill, SC, you’ll be at the forefront of our electrical construction projects. We’re currently involved in a range of exciting projects from residential renovations to large-scale commercial developments. Our Master Electricians aren’t just desk-jockeys, but hands-on leaders who are involved in the nitty-gritty of everyday electrical work and project management.

Your Daily Tasks as a Master Electrician

As a Master Electrician, you’ll be designing and overseeing the electrical systems for our construction and renovation projects. On any given day, you’ll be supervising your team of electricians and managing job site activity. You’ll be responsible for pulling permits, ensuring local code compliance, and coordinating inspections.

Managing project timelines and budgets will also be a big part of your role, as will providing expert troubleshooting support. You’ll develop safety and quality protocols, review electrical plans, and lead client consultations and technical reviews.

Training and evaluating apprentices and journeymen is another crucial part of your role. You’ll also be involved in hands-on activities such as wiring installations, electrical system upgrades, and fault diagnosis and repair.

What You Need to Be a Master Electrician

To succeed as a Master Electrician at EV Careers, you’ll need to be a licensed master electrician with extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. Proven leadership and project management skills are a must, as is experience in electrical design and system layout.

You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with clients and city officials and be technically proficient with diagnostic tools and blueprints. A strong commitment to safety and quality standards is crucial. You should have at least 6+ years in the field as a Master Electrician.
