The Master Electrician Position

Our Master Electricians are responsible for overseeing all aspects of our electrical projects. This involves not only ensuring the highest level of workmanship but also managing project timelines and budgets. Working in our team, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers and other trades, and supervise journeymen and apprentices. With a focus on safety and quality, you’ll have the opportunity to grow within our company and take on more complex projects over time.

Core Master Electrician Responsibilities

As a Master Electrician, you’ll design and oversee electrical systems for a variety of construction and renovation projects. Your responsibilities will include supervising electrical teams and managing job site activities, pulling permits, ensuring local code compliance, and coordinating inspections. You’ll provide expert troubleshooting support and develop safety and quality protocols. You’ll also review electrical plans, lead client consultations, and conduct technical reviews. Furthermore, you’ll train and evaluate apprentices and journeymen, and handle advanced technical duties like electrical load calculations, energy management, and advanced system troubleshooting.

Required Experience & Skills

To qualify for this position, you must be a licensed Master Electrician with at least 6 years of experience. You should have extensive knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and local codes, proven leadership skills, and experience in electrical design and system layout. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients and city officials is crucial. You should also be proficient with diagnostic tools and blueprints and committed to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Tools & Equipment

Our Master Electricians use a variety of tools, including multimeters, wire strippers, circuit finders, and conduit benders. You’ll need to have your own basic hand tools, but we’ll provide specialty and power tools. We also offer company vehicles for travel to and from job sites.

Physical Requirements

As a Master Electrician, you should be able to lift heavy equipment and materials. You’ll often work in various conditions, including confined spaces and high elevations. Safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots, is required at all times.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $34.37-$36.64 per hour, depending on experience, along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additionally, our package includes paid time off, holidays, and overtime options.
