What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Electrician

As a Maintenance Electrician at EV Careers in Nashville, TN, you’ll be key in ensuring our construction projects run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be dealing with all things electrical – from routine maintenance on building systems to urgent repair requests. Your day-to-day will be challenging, rewarding, and no two days will be the same.

Your Daily Tasks as a Maintenance Electrician

As our Maintenance Electrician, you’ll perform regular electrical maintenance on various building systems. This includes inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting lighting, power outlets, and control panels. You’ll be the first to respond to urgent repair requests, and you’ll perform electrical upgrades and preventative maintenance.

Maintaining logs of repairs and inspections will be a crucial part of your duties. You’ll also replace ballasts, fuses, wiring, and fixtures as necessary. Coordinating with our facilities teams and vendors will be part of your routine, ensuring all our projects are in line with safety standards.

In addition, you might find yourself assisting in the installation of new electrical systems or upgrading existing ones. You may also be involved in training junior staff or apprentices in maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

What You Need to Be a Maintenance Electrician
