The Maintenance Electrician Position
As a Maintenance Electrician with EV Careers, you would play a pivotal role in the upkeep and improvement of our client’s electrical systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities would include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems. You will work in various project environments ranging from residential buildings to commercial and industrial facilities. Core Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will perform routine electrical maintenance on building systems, inspect, test, and troubleshoot lighting, power outlets, and control panels. You will respond to urgent repair requests, perform electrical upgrades, and preventative maintenance. You will be required to maintain logs of repairs and inspections, replace ballasts, fuses, wiring, and fixtures while coordinating with facilities teams and vendors. Adherence to all safety standards is crucial in our operations. You will also be responsible for advanced technical duties such as installation of complex electrical systems, designing and implementing electrical safety procedures, and leading regional projects.
Required Experience & Skills
We require our Maintenance Electricians to have an electrical license or a background in facilities maintenance, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field. Familiarity with building codes and maintenance practices, solid troubleshooting and repair experience, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role. Good communication and record-keeping skills, as well as knowledge of electrical testing equipment, are also necessary.

Physical Requirements
The role of a Maintenance Electrician involves lifting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. You will work in various conditions — both indoor and outdoor, and you will be required to use safety gear such as safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
