The Maintenance Electrician Position

As a Maintenance Electrician on our team, your role will be multifaceted, engaging, and challenging. You will be responsible for performing routine electrical maintenance, addressing urgent repair requests, performing electrical upgrades and preventative maintenance, and maintaining logs of all activities. You will also be expected to work in various environments, across different projects, under the supervision of a senior technician. Core Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities

As an experienced Maintenance Electrician, your core responsibilities will include routine electrical maintenance on building systems, inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting lighting, power outlets, and control panels. You will also be required to respond to urgent repair requests, perform electrical upgrades and preventative maintenance, maintain logs of repairs and inspections, replace ballasts, fuses, wiring, and fixtures, and coordinate with facilities teams and vendors. All tasks must be performed while adhering to the highest safety standards. You will also perform advanced technical duties such as diagnosing complex electrical issues, designing electrical systems for renovations, and managing regional electrical projects.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate should hold an electrical license or have a facilities maintenance background. They should have solid troubleshooting and repair experience, familiarity with building codes and maintenance practices, ability to work on-call or during off-hours, good communication and record-keeping skills, and knowledge of electrical testing equipment. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician is required. Essential certifications include Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician.

Tools & Equipment

Our Maintenance Electricians use a variety of tools, including multimeters, circuit testers, wire strippers, and power tools. Personal tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches are required. The company provides larger equipment such as ladders, power drills, and electrical testing equipment.

Physical Requirements

Maintenance Electricians are required to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. You will often work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves are a must.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $30.09-$34.48 per hour, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
