Journeyman Electrician Position Overview

EV Careers is urgently seeking a seasoned Journeyman Electrician for our Pascagoula, MS location. Our ideal candidate should be well-versed in all aspects of electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety. As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll be expected to interpret technical drawings, run conduit and wiring, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, and ensure code compliance and workplace safety.

Must Haves for Journeyman Electrician

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
• Valid journeyman electrician license
• Strong understanding of AC systems and electrical code
• Ability to read technical plans and blueprints
• Hands-on experience in wiring and breaker panels
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and electrical repair
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation

Key Journeyman Electrician Duties

Your main responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of settings, from residential to commercial and industrial environments. You’ll be expected to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, run conduit and wiring, and troubleshoot and repair electrical issues. Ensuring code compliance and workplace safety is crucial. Moreover, you’ll be coordinating with other trades and project managers, documenting completed work and service records, and mentoring apprentices when needed.
