Journeyman Electrician Position Overview
EV Careers is urgently seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Orangeburg, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, be proficient in troubleshooting and repair, and be able to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, ensuring code compliance and workplace safety.
Must Haves for Journeyman Electrician
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician. A valid journeyman electrician license is required, along with a strong understanding of AC systems and electrical code. Experience in wiring and breaker panels is crucial, as is familiarity with OSHA safety regulations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, as is reliable transportation.
Key Journeyman Electrician Duties
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will interpret blueprints and technical drawings, run conduit and wiring, and troubleshoot and repair electrical issues. You will ensure code compliance and workplace safety, coordinate with other trades and project managers, document completed work and service records, and mentor apprentices when needed. Maintenance of tools and equipment is also a key part of this role.
