What You’ll Do as a DC Infrastructure Electrician

In your role as a DC Infrastructure Electrician at EV Careers in Orangeburg, SC, you’ll be a crucial part of our team working on a variety of exciting projects. Your daily tasks will be anything but mundane, as you’ll handle everything from installing and maintaining direct current infrastructure to supporting telecom, solar and battery backup systems.

Your Daily Tasks as a DC Infrastructure Electrician

As a DC Infrastructure Electrician, you’ll be our go-to expert on all things related to direct current infrastructure. You’ll install and maintain wiring, conduits, and panels, and work with low- and medium-voltage DC systems. You’ll make sure all work is compliant with codes and safety regulations.

You’ll support telecom, solar, and battery backup systems, troubleshooting control circuits and coordinating with engineers on layout and system design. In addition to these tasks, you may be asked to perform inspections, test equipment, and document technical specifications. These are just a few examples of the tasks you’ll be working on - no two days will be exactly the same.

What You Need to Be a DC Infrastructure Electrician

To be a successful DC Infrastructure Electrician at EV Careers, you’ll need to be a licensed electrician with experience in DC wiring. A strong understanding of DC system behavior and safety is crucial, as is the ability to install and terminate cabling for distributed systems.

Experience with telecom, solar, or battery systems is highly preferred. You should have a minimum of 3-5 years in the field as a DC Infrastructure Electrician. Above all, we’re looking for someone who is hands-on and ready to make a difference with their skills.
