Journeyman Electrician Position Overview

EV Careers is urgently seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for our Lexington, SC location. The successful candidate will be tasked with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various environments. You will work closely with our project managers to ensure all electrical installations are up to code and meet project deadlines.

Must Haves for Journeyman Electrician

To qualify for this role, you must have 3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician. Possession of a valid journeyman electrician license is mandatory. You must have a strong understanding of AC systems and electrical code. The ability to read technical plans and blueprints is essential. Hands-on experience in wiring and breaker panels, as well as a knack for troubleshooting and electrical repair, are required. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations is crucial. Good communication and organizational skills are important, as is reliable transportation.

Key Journeyman Electrician Duties

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will interpret blueprints and technical drawings, run conduit and wiring, and troubleshoot and repair electrical issues. You will ensure code compliance and workplace safety, coordinate with other trades and project managers, document completed work and service records, and mentor apprentices when needed. Maintenance of tools and equipment will also fall under your duties.
