The Journeyman Electrician Position

As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll play a key role in our team, engaging in a wide range of tasks that include the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. You’ll work on various projects in diverse environments, coordinating with project managers and other trades. Core Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities

Our Journeyman Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. This includes interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, running conduit and wiring, and troubleshooting electrical issues. You’ll need to ensure code compliance and workplace safety at all times, documenting your work and maintaining your tools and equipment. Your advanced technical duties will include advanced system diagnosis, complex electrical installations, and large-scale project management. You’ll also need to be familiar with the specifics of regional projects and adhere to our stringent safety protocols.

Required Experience & Skills

You must hold a valid journeyman electrician license and have a strong understanding of AC systems and electrical code. Proficiency in reading technical plans and blueprints is essential, as is hands-on experience in wiring and breaker panels. You’ll need to be skilled in troubleshooting and electrical repair and familiar with OSHA safety regulations. Good communication and organizational skills are a must, as is reliable transportation. We require a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, and you must hold essential certifications and demonstrate deep technical knowledge.

Tools & Equipment

Our Journeyman Electricians use a variety of tools on a daily basis, from multimeters and wire strippers to conduit benders and drills. You’ll need to provide some of your own personal tools, but we also provide company equipment such as heavy-duty drills and hydraulic knockout sets.

Physical Requirements

Our Journeyman Electrician role requires the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a variety of conditions, from residential homes to industrial work sites. Safety gear including hard hats, safety glasses, and insulated gloves is essential.

Compensation Package

Our Journeyman Electricians enjoy a competitive salary range of $30.69-$34.67 per hour, depending on experience.
