The Industrial Electrician Position

As an Industrial Electrician, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in various manufacturing and industrial environments. You’ll be working on motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment, ensuring their optimal performance. Core Industrial Electrician Responsibilities

As an Industrial Electrician, your core responsibilities will include servicing motors, control panels, conveyors, and high-voltage equipment. You’ll troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery, interpret technical diagrams and schematics, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and perform preventative maintenance. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for ensuring safety compliance, documenting repairs and updates, and collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams. Some of your advanced technical duties will involve working on specialized regional projects, adhering to rigorous safety protocols, and handling complex electrical installations.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate will have an electrical journeyman license or equivalent and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician. You should have a strong understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and 3-phase power, with proficiency in diagnostics and repair. The ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams is essential, as is a solid knowledge of OSHA safety standards. A team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills are also vital for this role.

Tools & Equipment

Our Industrial Electricians use a range of specific tools on a daily basis, including multimeters, wire strippers, cable cutters, crimping tools, and power drills. While some personal tools might be required, our company provides major equipment such as ladders, power tools, and safety gear.

Physical Requirements

This role involves lifting equipment and materials, so a good level of physical fitness is required. The working conditions can be challenging, often involving heights, confined spaces, or outdoor work. Safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots, is essential.

Compensation Package

Our compensation package includes a competitive hourly wage, ranging from $32.62 to $37.31, depending on experience.
