The Industrial Electrician Position

As an Industrial Electrician at EV Careers, your day-to-day responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various industrial environments. You will work on projects involving motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment. Your role will also require you to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery, follow strict lockout/tagout procedures, and perform preventative maintenance. You will be part of a well-structured team and report directly to the Electrical Supervisor. Core Industrial Electrician Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities as an Industrial Electrician at EV Careers will primarily include the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in manufacturing or industrial environments. This will involve servicing motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment; troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in machinery; following lockout/tagout procedures; and performing preventative maintenance. You will also interpret technical diagrams and schematics, ensure safety compliance, document repairs and updates, and work closely with our maintenance and engineering teams. Advanced duties will include the design and implementation of electrical systems for new projects, oversight of electrical safety inspections, and training junior electricians.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate for the Industrial Electrician position will have an electrical journeyman license or equivalent and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician. You will have experience with industrial machinery and systems, a strong understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and 3-phase power, and proficiency in diagnostics and repair. You should be able to read schematics and wiring diagrams, have OSHA safety knowledge, and possess team-oriented attitude and communication skills.

Tools & Equipment

As an Industrial Electrician at EV Careers, you will be expected to have your own basic electrician’s tools. The company will provide specialized tools and equipment such as digital multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and thermal imaging cameras.

Physical Requirements

The role of an Industrial Electrician at EV Careers involves physical labor, including lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 pounds. You will be required to work in various conditions, both indoor and outdoor, and will need to wear safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $31.85-$36.01 per hour, dependent on experience.
