Core Industrial Electrician Skills

Our ideal candidate should possess an electrical journeyman license or equivalent, and have extensive experience with industrial machinery and systems. A strong understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and 3-phase power is essential. Proficiency in diagnostics and repair, ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams, OSHA safety knowledge, and excellent communication skills are also required.

Main Industrial Electrician Duties

As an Industrial Electrician, you’ll install and maintain electrical systems in manufacturing or industrial environments. You’ll service motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment, and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery. Other responsibilities include following lockout/tagout procedures, performing preventative maintenance, interpreting technical diagrams and schematics, ensuring safety compliance, documenting repairs and updates, and working with maintenance and engineering teams.
