Core Industrial Electrician Skills
The ideal candidate should possess an electrical journeyman license or equivalent, have experience with industrial machinery and systems, and a strong understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and 3-phase power. Proficiency in diagnostics and repair, the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams, knowledge of OSHA safety standards, and good team-oriented attitude and communication skills are essential.
Main Industrial Electrician Duties
The selected candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in manufacturing or industrial environments, servicing motors, conveyors, control panels, and high-voltage equipment. Duties also include troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in machinery, following lockout/tagout procedures, performing preventative maintenance, interpreting technical diagrams and schematics, ensuring safety compliance, documenting repairs and updates, and working with maintenance and engineering teams.
