Your Role as a High Voltage EV Electrician

As a High Voltage EV Electrician at EV Careers in Bartlett, TN, you will play an instrumental role in the development and maintenance of high-voltage systems for electric vehicles. Your Daily Duties as a High Voltage EV Electrician

Your day-to-day activities will revolve around the installation, servicing, and maintenance of high-voltage systems for electric vehicles and related infrastructure. You will be required to interpret technical schematics and equipment diagrams, troubleshoot and repair EV electrical systems, and test insulation resistance and power delivery.

Coordination with engineering teams to clarify layout and specifications will be a regular part of your role. You will also be tasked with documenting system performance and service logs. Ensuring compliance with NEC and OSHA regulations is a critical aspect of this position. Additional responsibilities may include upgrading existing EV charging systems and conducting safety training for other team members.

What It Takes to Be a High Voltage EV Electrician

To qualify for this role, you need to have a valid electrician license with a high-voltage certification. You should have a deep understanding of EV systems and high-voltage safety standards. Experience with EVSE equipment and protocols is necessary, as is proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) for high-voltage environments.

Familiarity with energy storage systems and power electronics will be an added advantage. Strong technical and communication skills are essential to effectively carry out your duties. We are looking for candidates with 4-6 years of experience in a similar role.
