Core High Voltage Battery Electrician Skills

Ideal candidates will hold an electrical license along with a battery safety certification. Proficiency in working with lithium-ion and high-capacity storage systems is required. Extensive knowledge of charge-discharge cycles, BMS systems, and thermal management is essential. Comprehensive PPE and safety knowledge for high-voltage DC is a must.

Main High Voltage Battery Electrician Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining high-voltage battery systems for EV or energy storage applications. Duties also include diagnosing performance issues, conducting thermal/voltage testing, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Other tasks involve integrating batteries with inverters and charge controllers, maintaining logs and test data, and assisting with field retrofits and emergency repairs.
