The High Voltage Battery Electrician Position

As a High Voltage Battery Electrician at EV Careers, you’ll be an essential part of our team, working on a range of projects in various environments. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and maintaining high-voltage battery systems. You’ll work within a structured team under the supervision of experienced professionals. Core High Voltage Battery Electrician Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include installing and maintaining high-voltage battery systems for EV or energy storage applications, diagnosing performance issues, and conducting thermal/voltage testing. You’ll need to ensure compliance with safety standards, integrate batteries with inverters and charge controllers, maintain logs and test data, and assist with field retrofits and emergency repairs. Advanced duties include managing complex installation projects, troubleshooting advanced electrical issues, and overseeing safety protocols.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate will have an electrical license with a battery safety certification and at least 4-6 years of experience as a High Voltage Battery Electrician. Experience with lithium-ion and high-capacity storage systems is essential, along with knowledge of charge-discharge cycles, BMS systems, and thermal management. You should also have a strong understanding of PPE and safety procedures for high-voltage DC.

Tools & Equipment

You’ll be using a variety of tools on a daily basis, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imagers. You’ll be expected to provide your own personal tools, including standard electrician’s tools such as wire strippers and crimpers. We provide all necessary high-voltage testing equipment and safety gear.

Physical Requirements

This position involves regular lifting of heavy objects, so you should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance. You’ll be working in a variety of conditions, both indoor and outdoor, and you’ll need to wear appropriate safety gear at all times.

Compensation Package
