The EVSE High Voltage Electrician Position

As an EVSE High Voltage Electrician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include the installation and commissioning of high-voltage EVSE systems, performing load calculations, running conduit and wiring for 480V+ systems, and calibrating chargers. You will liaise with network providers, utility reps, and coordinate with the rest of your team to ensure smooth project execution. Core EVSE High Voltage Electrician Responsibilities

In addition to the duties mentioned above, your core responsibilities include completing testing procedures, maintaining accurate install documentation and as-builts, and adhering strictly to safety protocols on-site. You will also be expected to perform advanced technical duties such as diagnosing and rectifying complex electrical issues, designing and installing load balancing systems, and managing utility interconnection processes. Regional project specifics will be communicated as per the project requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

Our ideal candidate is a licensed electrician with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EVSE installation. You should have extensive high-voltage experience (480V+), a strong understanding of OCPP standards, load balancing, and utility interconnection. Strong diagnostic and field commissioning skills are also essential. Certifications like the NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification would be an added advantage.

Tools & Equipment

As an EVSE High Voltage Electrician, you will be using a variety of tools including multimeters, wire strippers, conduit benders, and crimping tools. We expect our electricians to have their own basic tools, while we provide specialized equipment such as high-voltage testers and insulation resistance testers.

Physical Requirements

This job involves heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions. Safety gear including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-voltage gloves will be required at all times on project sites.
