The EV Power Systems Electrician Position
As an EV Power Systems Electrician on our team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include the installation and configuration of power distribution systems for EV charging stations. You’ll work in various environments from residential homes to commercial properties, under the guidance of our experienced supervision team. Core EV Power Systems Electrician Responsibilities
As part of your core responsibilities, you’ll install and configure power distribution systems for EV charging stations, run conduit and wire for load balancing and grid tie-ins, and monitor electrical loads. You’ll also ensure code compliance, install switchgear, transformers, and meters, and coordinate with utility providers. Supporting remote diagnostics and system upgrades will also be part of your duties. Other technical duties include performing load calculations, troubleshooting system issues, and performing preventative maintenance. Regional project specifics and adherence to safety protocols are also crucial aspects of this role.
Required Experience & Skills
To qualify for this position, you must be a licensed journeyman electrician with a strong knowledge of EVSE infrastructure and grid interconnection. Experience with transformers and switchgear, strong wiring and installation skills, and the ability to read one-line diagrams and permits are also essential. You should have completed OSHA safety training and have at least 3-5 years of experience as an EV Power Systems Electrician. Essential certifications include NABCEP PV Installation Professional and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety.
Tools & Equipment
Our EV Power Systems Electricians frequently use tools such as multimeters, pliers, wire strippers, and conduit benders. Personal tools such as hand tools and safety equipment are required, while company-provided equipment includes power tools and diagnostic equipment.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and wear safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.

Compensation Package
