Electric Vehicle Apprentice Position Overview
EV Careers in Cartersville, GA is urgently seeking a dedicated Electric Vehicle Apprentice. Our ideal candidate is passionate about EV technology and sustainability, has basic knowledge of electrical theory, and is actively working toward a journeyman licensure. As an apprentice, you’ll work closely with our licensed EV electricians, assisting in the installation of Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations and learning the ropes of this revolutionary industry.
Must Haves for Electric Vehicle Apprentice
- 2-5 years experience as an Electric Vehicle Apprentice
- Genuine interest in EV technology and sustainability
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory
- Actively working toward journeyman licensure
- Strong note-taking and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using tablets and software tools on-site
- Excellent customer-service skills when working on residential installs
Key Electric Vehicle Apprentice Duties
As an Electric Vehicle Apprentice, your main duties will include assisting with the installation of Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations under the guidance of licensed EV electricians. You’ll also aid in trenching and conduit placement, calibrate meters and sensors under supervision, and test charging station output using diagnostic tools. Other responsibilities include monitoring energy usage data, documenting any abnormalities, and preparing permit packets and inspection forms.
