What You’ll Do as a DC Infrastructure Electrician
As a DC Infrastructure Electrician at EV Careers in Natchitoches, LA, you’ll play a critical role in our ongoing projects. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and installing direct current (DC) infrastructure, including wiring, conduits, and panels. We work primarily with low- and medium-voltage DC systems, ensuring everything we install or maintain meets code and safety standards. You’ll also support our telecom, solar, and battery backup systems and troubleshoot control circuits.
Your Daily Tasks as a DC Infrastructure Electrician
Your workday as a DC Infrastructure Electrician will involve a balance of hands-on work and coordination with other team members. You’ll install and maintain various components of DC infrastructures, including wiring, conduits, and panels. You’ll also troubleshoot control circuits, ensuring we can quickly address and resolve any issues that arise.
In addition, you’ll be responsible for coordinating with engineers on the layout and design of our systems. This may involve providing input on the best ways to install and maintain the necessary infrastructure, as well as suggesting improvements or modifications to existing plans.
Furthermore, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our telecom, solar, and battery backup systems. This means you’ll need to have a solid understanding of these systems and be able to quickly address any issues or malfunctions that may arise.
What You Need to Be a DC Infrastructure Electrician
To be a successful DC Infrastructure Electrician at EV Careers, you’ll need to be a licensed electrician with experience in DC wiring. A strong understanding of DC system behavior and safety is crucial for this role, as is the ability to install and terminate cabling for distributed systems.
Experience with telecom, solar, or battery systems is preferred, but not required. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in the field as a DC Infrastructure Electrician. Key skills for this role include problem-solving, effective communication, and a keen eye for detail.
