What You’ll Do as a DC Fast Charging Electrician

As a DC Fast Charging Electrician at EV Careers, you’ll play a crucial role in our current projects in Goose Creek, SC. This position is hands-on, often physically demanding, and requires a keen attention to detail. You’ll be on the front lines of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting DC fast charging equipment for electric vehicle fleets and public charging infrastructure.

Your Daily Tasks as a DC Fast Charging Electrician

Your main responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of our charging stations. This involves performing site surveys, handling trenching, wiring, and panel upgrades, and commissioning and testing chargers. You’ll also coordinate with utility and inspection authorities to ensure our installations meet all relevant regulations and standards.

Other daily tasks include:

• Documenting and logging charging station performance to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement
• Performing routine maintenance checks on all charging equipment
• Responding to service calls and carrying out repairs as needed

What You Need to Be a DC Fast Charging Electrician

To perform well in this role, you must be a journeyman or master electrician with DC fast charging experience. You should have knowledge of high-voltage safety and commissioning protocols, as well as familiarity with software platforms used in charger configuration and diagnostics.

Other requirements include:

• 4-6 years of experience working as a DC Fast Charging Electrician
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage field projects and service tickets effectively
• Physical fitness, as the job often involves heavy lifting and working in confined spaces
