The DC Fast Charging Electrician Position

As a DC Fast Charging Electrician on our team, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve installing and maintaining DC fast charging equipment, conducting site surveys, handling electrical wiring, performing panel upgrades, and commissioning and testing chargers. You’ll work in a variety of environments ranging from corporate fleets to public charging facilities. Our electricians operate as part of a structured team under experienced supervision, with opportunities for growth within EV Careers.

Core DC Fast Charging Electrician Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include the installation and maintenance of DC fast charging equipment for EV fleets and public charging infrastructure. You’ll also be responsible for performing site surveys, managing trenching and wiring, executing panel upgrades, and commissioning and testing chargers. Advanced duties include coordinating with utility and inspection authorities, documenting and logging charging station performance, and maintaining compliance with all safety and operational protocols. Regional project specifics will be provided as needed.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate will be a journeyman or master electrician with a minimum of 4-6 years experience in DC fast charging. You should have knowledge of high-voltage safety and commissioning protocols and be familiar with software platforms used in charger configuration and diagnostics. The ability to manage field projects and service tickets is essential. Certifications in electrical safety, EVSE installation and other relevant areas are required.

Tools & Equipment

As a DC Fast Charging Electrician, you’ll be using a variety of tools on a daily basis, including electrical testers, wire strippers, and electric drills. You’ll need to have your own basic electrical tools while specialized equipment will be provided by the company.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds. You can expect to work in a variety of environments, both indoor and outdoor, and under various weather conditions. Safety gear including hard hats, safety glasses, and protective gloves are required.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $33.53-$38 per hour depending on experience.
