Commercial Apprentice Position Overview

EV Careers is urgently seeking a Commercial Apprentice for our operations in Hattiesburg, MS. The ideal candidate will assist in commercial-grade EV electrical installations and have a strong understanding of commercial wiring systems. This role will involve interpreting basic blueprints, pulling wires, maintaining records of material use, and learning commercial code requirements.

Must Haves for Commercial Apprentice

We require a minimum of 2-5 years experience as a Commercial Apprentice. Completion of at least one year in an apprenticeship program is also essential. Proficiency in reading simple one-line diagrams and a strong ability to follow instructions to the letter are crucial for this role. A preferred qualification is an OSHA 10-hour certification. Strong mathematical and measuring skills are non-negotiable.

Key Commercial Apprentice Duties

As a Commercial Apprentice, you will assist in commercial-grade EV electrical installations in retail, hospitality, and industrial facilities. You will be interpreting basic blueprints and layout plans, pulling wire through raceways, and installing low-voltage control wiring for smart EV systems. You will also support panel upgrades and load center installations. Maintaining records of material use and time logs will also be part of your responsibilities.
